Accommodation available to seafarers

Located in one of the most beautiful parts of Surrey we are able to offer a range of accommodation to former seafarers and their partners.

The Almshouses and Bungalows

Bungalows and Alms HousesBungalows and Alms HousesAlms Houses / Bungalows are unfurnished dwellings, specially designed with the needs of older couples in mind. The aim is to provide convenient and comfortable accommodation in a setting which allows residents to come and go as they please.

Almshouses provide security and residents are encouraged to make friends plus share a wider social life through the use of the social club. Each unit has an emergency call system in case of a fall or sudden illness.

In addition there is a residential Welfare Officer and many other provisions designed to make daily life as easy as possible and to encourage neighbours and residents to help and support each other.

Vacancies from 19th April 2010 - A one bedroom bungalow will be coming available for a couple. Applicants must have served at sea.

Cunard Mews and Anchor Flats

Cunard MewsCunard MewsThere are 11 flats in total, 8 are ideal for single seafarers and 3 for couples. These too have emergency alarms fitted at the request of the individual and receive the same support and services as the Almshouses / Bungalows.

Five of the flats are located on the first floor and are best suited for those with no mobility difficulties.

Every effort is made by the Society to ensure that residents are able to live as independent lives as possible. However it is recognised that some residents require more support than others and meals can be provided in the main dining room at the request of the individual.
